21st November 2009

The Autumn 2009 issue of CZH is here, with another of my haiku.

I have also had word that four of my poems (A plain woman in a black beret, The Teddy Bears are coming, Why I don't own a pen, and Railway Poetry) have been selected for issue 51 of Obsessed With Pipework - the "quarterly magazine of highwire poetry to surprise and delight" - published by Flarestack.

Kangaroo Land Entered in its First Competition

Well, thought to hell with it and entered the opening chapter competition with UK Authors - Kangaroo Land has been changed and updated a lot since the summer.

New Synopsis:

A quirky travel tale in the genre of Stephen Clarke and Bill Bryson.

Hope quits England for six months and with an oversized backpack heads to Sydney. Unfortunately, her initial stay is with hip-swinging Tatum who has unique capabilities of transforming herself into the most irritating, whining person ever.
